About Carry & Curiosity

I'm a product designer. That means I spend a lot of time thinking about things most people don't think about: the radius of a corner, the texture of a button, the sound a latch makes when it closes. I believe that good design isn't about luxury — it's about attention. And attention is something you can bring to a $6 pen just as easily as a $600 bag.
I started Carry & Curiosity because the gear review world tends to focus on specs and price points, and I wanted a space for something different: deep, slightly obsessive dives into the way objects feel. The click of a mechanism. The grain of a material. The way something sits in your hand after six months of daily use.
I own roughly 40 things — not counting socks and underwear — and each one has earned its place. This site is about helping you find objects that earn their place in your life, too.
🔧 Our Philosophy
Good design is democratic. Price is not the point — thoughtfulness is. We review objects from the $10-and-under category with the same seriousness we'd bring to a $500 tool, because cheap things deserve good design too. Maybe especially.
📐 How We Review
Every object here has been used. Not unboxed and photographed — used. Carried for weeks. Scratched up. Dropped. We care about how things hold up, how they age, and whether the joy of using them persists past the honeymoon phase. Our reviews are precise, honest, and occasionally a little obsessive.
